On the Kailash-Mansarovar trek route, on the Indian side, at the last camp of Navidang one gets this unbelievably true view of 'Aum Parvat'! (Aum Mountain)
See this picure! No prizes for guessing for why it is named so! All thru winter the mountain is just like any other, snow clad. Come summer, its when ice begins to melt, that this phenomenon is unveiled! A large formation of the Sanskrit scripted "Aum", appears on the mountain, the letter being a few thousand feet high. Luckier ones have also very clearly seen the "chandra bindu" ( half crescent & dot) completing the picture! Clearly this can find mention amongst natural wonders of the world!
